Here are some of our success stories with taking surrendered dogs, training them, and placing them in the proper environment, to the benefit of the dog and law enforcement.
K9 Chopper was surrendered to Cobb Animal Services, along with his sister, K9 Chaos (seen below). It was immediately apparent that this boy had ALOT of drive. CCAS reached to HCK9. K9 Chopper was trained and is now a member of the Anniston Police K9 Unit.
K9 Zeus found himself at the Fulton County Animal Shelter, after being picked up as a stray. This guy was found by HCK9 after seeing him on social media, looking for a home. It was obvious to us that Zeus was special. After being trained, K9 Zeus is now a member of the Anniston Police K9 Unit.
K9 Louie was a stray that Carroll County Animal Control saw potential in. We found out that they were exactly RIGHT! K9 Louie was trained and is now a member of the Anniston Police K9 Unit.

K9 Drake was found in the Polk County, GA Animal Shelter. He was left there by his owner, who couldn’t handle him. HCK9 immediately saw his potential and he was trained and paired with his handler shortly after arriving with us.
K9 Drake, in a few short months on the job, has already made an immeasurable impact on his community, seizing narcotics, locating several suspects. He has begun to garner a reputation that he is a force to be reckoned with should you decide to flee.
Training and caring for animals take significant resources, and we don’t charge for the
dogs we rescue. Your contributions make a lasting difference in many lives—canine and human.

Not all of our dogs are suitable for working roles, but can be valuable parts of the right
families. Hurricane Creek K9 takes in abused, neglected, and abandoned working breed dogs. We also take on dogs with complex needs that our unique skill set can assist with. Some dogs may not be suitable for placement in your home, we ask that you fully complete our application so we can do our best to match you with the appropriate dog.
We are always in need of passionate volunteers to help with everything from dog walking to fundraising. Your support can make a real difference in the lives of animals in need.
